Our theme for the first few days has been connecting to helpful sources of guidance to support bringing clarity into our lives. Day 2, we connected to outer guidance, on Day 3, we talked about Synchronicity, the events that connect our inner and outer world, and today we are going to go inward- to spark our own form of guidance-our intuition.
Our own intuition can be one of the best sources of clarity in our life. But if we aren’t used to hearing or following it, it can also be one of the more frustrating aspects of clarity.
If you feel that way- know you aren’t alone.
You come into this world as whole, healthy being, with your intuition intact. Then life happens. Experiences pile on, and we loose the clear connection to our inner guidance.
Let’s work on that today.
Today we are going to give you a few great resources to clear the channel into YOU.
Listen to this centering song. (And thank you by the way to our friend Siri Sadhana Kaur for this beautiful version.) Music is a great tool, because it gets you out of your head, and speaks instead to your soul. It’s true: studies are showing that music stimulates more parts of the brain than any other human function.
As you listen we want you visualize letting go of, or burning away all of those layers (those limiting thoughts, confusing voices, and expectations we hold onto).
Visualization is another extremely powerful tool in gaining clarity Check out what we just read in Psychology Today: a study looking at brain patterns in weightlifters found that the patterns activated when a weightlifter lifted hundreds of pounds were similarly activated when they only imagined lifting. In some cases, research has revealed that mental practices are almost effective as true physical practice, and that doing both is more effective than either alone. (!)
Part 2 of Today’s Challenge:
And here’s one more resource for you. We have mentioned loving the short 3-5 minute (FREE!) meditations by Orin and DaBen. We picked this one out for you especially today.
As you work to connect to the guidance of our own intuition, you can use this as a little test. This meditation asks you to focus on one question. Use this meditation to listen to the answers you have inside you, beneath the layers, that have been there all along. Practice with this meditation, until the channel to YOU becomes clearer and clearer.
Also notice what comes up. What resistance? Self judgement? Irritation? Lack of patience? These are blocks to gaining clarity. Just write them down, keep them handy…and as we go through this Challenge together, we will come back to them in time.
