Day 9: Your Brain On Om

Sometimes we lack clarity, because as humans, we are creatures of habit. We quickly become accustomed to our environments, and a lot of our systems, feelings and thoughts go into background mode. Where you might have been inspired, you’re now, not making connections or feeling things as deeply. It’s an age old survival mechanism, that our brains still use actually, to ‘turn down’ the sound on non-critical mental activities (so that you can you know, pay attention to large animal danger, or invaders-stuff like that, we used to have to worry about.)

But this can be an incredibly frustrating experience, especially if you feel like you’re are going backwards or losing ground in your self-discovery.

This is the time to shift the energy in your life.

You can make changes in your environment, location or mindset…or do this one simple thing.

Today’s Challenge:

Get your Om on. Find your mantra.

We’re going to introduce you to one of oldest tools for creating clarity- the mantra.

Mantras have been used for 3000 years. Simply defined: mantras are a series of repeated sounds/phrases with spiritual interpretations such as a human longing for truth, reality, light, immortality, peace, love, knowledge, and action. They are used as a sacred formula and a deeply personal ritual. At its simplest, the word ॐ (Aum, Om) serves as a mantra.

How do they work?

Every mantra activates a particular kind of energy in a different part of the body. 

And from a physics angle, the sounds themselves…resonate in different parts of the body and mind, creating actual interactions or events. Mantras are information, in the literal sense of in-forming: the creation of form, or interactions. 

When we are working on creating clarity in our emotions and feelings in the Balance area of the 5 core areas of transformation, we use the phrase ‘removing obstacles’ -either to understanding our feelings, or to explore what obstacles keep us from feeling at all.

Loosely translated it calls in transformative energy to help you remove obstacles in your life. Use it to ask for the blocks in the realm of your emotions and feelings to be removed.

Sometimes it just takes a slight change in energy to create a breakthrough. Use it to ask for the blocks in the realm of your emotions and feelings to be removed.

Consistently using it can raise your energy (vibration) enough to ‘turn off’ that mental backgrounding application. Get present, and get clarity.
